WELCOME TO MY SITE
Because you deserve it!
Massage Therapy stimulates the skin and increases blood circulation, which aids in the elimination of harmful toxins and deposits that build up in the body's cells over time.  Through the healing process of massage, aching muscles, stress build-up, mental and physical alertness is restored to allow the body to heal itself naturally.
I feel I was born to be a health care provider.  I attended school at the European Institute For Massage Therapy in Houston, TX and was licensed in 2005. I am originally from Oklahoma and came to Houston in 2000 for my son’s leukemia treatments at MD Anderson Cancer Center. My son is now cancer free thanks to the wonderful staff at MD Anderson who have also inspired me to become certified in their Oncology Massage Program. I worked with special needs clients at a Department of Human Services Residential Facility for 20 years in recreational and occupational therapy. I worked as a team with the physical therapists, doctors, and nurses to improve their quality of life for each client. I feel that many years of helping and nurturing people has made me a great massage therapist.  I have also had the pleasure of providing much needed massage for the bands and performers touring Houston.  I believe your health and wellness should always come first. Even if you don’t have aches and pains anyone can benefit from a stress-relieving massage to help you stay focused everyday.  I look forward to becoming your massage therapist!

Whether you are a working mother with children, a top executive in and out of meetings all day, a salesperson who is never at home, your health should be an appointment that comes first.  Let massage help you stay focused on all of the decisions we have to face in everyday life.  Through diet, exercise, and relaxation, beautiful things happen in the aging process we call life.

  1. Swedish
The first form of full body massage that will help you become aware of the areas in your body that you may hold tension or stress. This massage will help improve muscle tone and increase blood circulation, leaving the body rejuvenated for the days ahead. This gentle therapy is a great antidote for stress and improving your outlook on life. This treatment puts the mind and soul in-sync to induce deep relaxation of the nervous system to leave the spirit uplifted.
  2. Deep Tissue
A therapeutic form of massage that targets sore contracted muscles to help release lactic acid build up. This massage improves flexibility through active and passive range of motion and stretches. It increases blood circulation, and relieves some chronic pains.
  3. Oncology and Palliative Care
The care of patients with cancer not only involves dealing with its symptoms but also with complicated information, uncertainty, and isolation; fear of disease progression, disease recurrence, and death. Patients whose treatments require them to go without human contact can find a lack of touch to be an especially distressing factor. Massage therapy is often used to address these patients’ need for human contact. Findings support the positive value of massage in cancer care. Several reviews of scientific literature have attributed numerous positive effects to massage including: improvements in the quality of patients’ relaxation, sleep, immune system responses, as well as in the relief of their fatigue, pain, anxiety, and nausea.

What You Can Expect
Disrobing:
Most people disrobe completely in order to fully utilize the therapist’s knowledge of anatomy and various massage techniques. However, you can leave clothes and/or undergarments on if this is more comfortable to you. At all times you will be covered with a sheet except for the area that is being worked on. The therapist leaves the room while you disrobe, relax on the table and cover yourself with a sheet.

The Session:
A massage session typically lasts one hour to one and a half hours. A full body massage includes the hands, arms, legs, feet, back, neck, shoulder, and face. Massage on healthy tissue should feel very pleasurable but when dealing with an injury or chronic problem, massage may cause minor discomfort. The discomfort usually lessens within a few minutes.

  6. Carol and I were more than happy with Linda's excellent technique. Carol is still recovering from past mini-strokes and the massage was much more than we even hoped. We intend to have Linda treat us regularly. Incidentally we have recommended Linda to our Daughter and she is currently reviewing her schedule and will be scheduling herself a treatment.

  7. Highly Recommended! We've been very impressed with Linda and both my husband and I have been receiving regular biweekly massages from her for the last 6 months. She is always on time and is very skilled in her techniques, knowledge (prenatal!) and has a wonderful care-giving nature. She uses top quality oils and lotions and has a variety of delicious smelling aromatherapy oils that we get to choose from. Linda has been incredibly easy to work with!
